01How to invest in assets
What an asset actually is, why people put money into them instead of leaving it in a checking account, and how the idea works before you ever open anything. We start from the very beginning, with no assumed knowledge.
Smart Accounts. Stronger Futures.
D&T Equity Inc. teaches people who are just getting started: how to invest in assets, how to open investment accounts, and how to hold what you build inside a holding company. Plain language, no jargon, no pressure.

Where we start
No account needed to reach us. Ask your questions before you decide anything.
Where to start
This is the question we are asked more than any other, so here is the short answer.
Fill in a short form, or just call us if that is easier.
A real person, at your pace, in plain words.
No pressure, and nothing you have to commit to.
The first step
This is the very first thing we walk a new person through. There is more than one kind of account, and they are not as complicated as the names make them sound. Here is what each one is, in plain words.
A regular investing account, not tied to retirement. You open it, put money in, and choose what you invest in.
An account built for retirement. You open it yourself and it stays yours, separate from any job.
Another kind of retirement account, with its own set of rules. It sits alongside a regular IRA.
The retirement account you usually get through an employer. Many people meet this one at their first job.
Not sure which one you have questions about? That is a good thing to ask us. Tell us where you are and we will explain it properly.
Ask us about accountsThe next step
Once you know which account you want, the next step is opening it. We walk you through the sign-up step by step, so you are never doing it alone or guessing at a form.
We also give you direction on where to start. Which company you open it with is your own choice — the names on the right are just examples of the kind of company people use. And once your account is open, the company you picked is the one that helps you with your investment choices from there.
Examples of companies people use
Those are examples only, not a recommendation. Any of them is your call, and you are free to use a company that is not listed here.
What it costs
When you are ready to have us walk you through it, there is a one-time $100 consulting fee. Nothing is charged on a schedule, there is no ongoing charge and nothing recurring, and it is the same $100 whether you do the call or work through it by email.
The fee is for helping you get your account set up. You tell us where you are, and we go through opening it with you at your own pace.
$100
One time, and that is it
What you’ll learn
Everything we teach comes back to these three. Understand them and the rest starts to make sense on its own.
01What an asset actually is, why people put money into them instead of leaving it in a checking account, and how the idea works before you ever open anything. We start from the very beginning, with no assumed knowledge.
02The different kinds of accounts you will come across, what each one is for, and the steps to open one properly. We cover what you will be asked for and what to watch out for before you sign anything.
03What a holding company is, what people use one for, and how it fits around the investments you already own. A simple explanation of the structure and why it comes up so often.
Who this is for

You have your first real paycheck and no idea what to do with it. That is exactly where we start. We walk through the basics in plain words, no finance degree required.

Maybe you have been meaning to figure this out for a while. Before you open anything or hand money to anyone, learn how it actually works so you can make your own calls.
How it works

Fill in a short form or just call. Tell us what you already know and what you want to learn. There is no wrong answer and no pressure.
We teach you what an asset is and how investing works, how to open an investment account properly, and how a holding company fits in. In your own words, at your own pace.
Once the basics make sense, you can set things up with a clear head, ask better questions, and know what to look for as your situation grows.
About D&T
Most people finish school without ever being shown how investing works. They are handed a paycheck and left to figure it out from videos and headlines, which is a bad way to learn anything.
D&T Equity Inc. exists to close that gap. We take the ideas apart and explain them in order, starting from nothing, and we stay with you while they click. What you do with them after that is entirely your call.
“Start where you are. Learn it properly. Then decide.”
That is the whole idea behind how we teach. Understanding first, decisions second.
